Family Christmas Concert with the Konzerthausorchester

About

Christmas family concert in the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus Berlin on Gendarmenmarkt. "Nussknacker und Puderzucker – Ein Orchester backt zu Weihnachten" turns the concert hall into a musical Christmas bakery: conductor and presenter Tom Seligman leads the Konzerthausorchester Berlin through excerpts from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake", Claire Cowan's "Gingerbread Boogie Men", Smetana's Dance of the Comedians, Ginastera's fiery Malambo and a closing "Backe, backe Kuchen". Two performances on Saturday 19 December 2026, at 11:00 and 15:00, doors open one hour before each. Recommended for children from age 7 – the Konzerthaus expressly asks families to respect the age guidance. Around 90 minutes without an interval. Tickets from the Konzerthaus ticket shop: children €5, adults €20. Sung and spoken in German.
