A family concert in Berlin's Philharmonie, with a shortened, child-friendly take on Mozart's most famous opera. 'Das Zauberflötchen' (the little Magic Flute) retells the story of Tamino and Papageno in an hour and twenty minutes, presented so that children from about age 5 can follow the music, the humour and the characters. After the concert children can try out the instruments of the Klingendes Museum in the foyer, with guidance. It is played in German, in the Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie at Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße 1 on the Kulturforum near Potsdamer Platz, on Sunday 8 November 2026 at 11:00. The Kammerorchester Unter den Linden is a Berlin chamber orchestra that has been playing concerts for children and schools for years; tickets come from its online shop.
