Halloween Paper Mask Workshop

About

A Halloween paper workshop run by the Haus des Papiers museum in its hands-on Room for Material Experience near the Legiendamm. Paper becomes the starting point for spooky, imaginative objects: participants cut, fold, glue, roll and shape ghosts, bats, cobwebs and pumpkins, with the focus on individual paper masks - a witch, a cat, a vampire, a pumpkin or a Halloween creature of the child's own invention. The workshop combines creative work with real paper-craft techniques and looks at paper from its spookiest side. It is aimed at children from age 6 upwards together with an accompanying adult; for 4 and 5 year olds the museum offers simplified shapes. The session runs in German. The fee of EUR 40 per person includes all materials, while admission to the museum itself is bought separately on site at the regular price. Places are limited and must be booked in advance by email, so families should register early.
