About
In the Museum für Naturkunde's microscopy centre the exhibits are not behind glass but in your hands: colourful butterflies, bird wings, a cast of a dinosaur jaw and ancient fossils that children and adults can pick up, look at under the microscope and then draw. The open studio welcomes every age - and anyone who thinks they cannot draw - and it is run in German and English. It takes place on selected afternoons, 12:30-15:30, roughly once a week; no registration is needed and there is no workshop fee of its own, it is included in the museum ticket (adults €11, reduced €5, family tickets €12-€18). The museum recommends it from about 5 years.
