One-week Scrap Machine Camp for children (Berlin autumn holidays)

About

A one-week maker camp where children take apart broken household appliances and turn the motors, gears and switches inside into machines of their own invention. Monday is tool safety and dismantling; by Friday each child presents the finished contraption - a nonsense robot, a vehicle or a marble run - and takes it home. The week runs Monday to Friday, 9:00-15:00, with a warm lunch included, in a real workbench workshop in Prenzlauer Berg (U2 Senefelderplatz / Eberswalder Straße), and is run in German. No prior experience is needed, the group is kept small and every tool and material is supplied. For children aged 7-12; EUR 450 for the full week. Places are booked online, and the week usually fills up quickly.
