Every Thursday at 16:30 the children's librarians of the Theodor-Heuss-Bibliothek tell a story: as a kamishibai paper theatre on the forecourt when the weather is fine, and as picture-book cinema inside the children's section when it rains or the season turns cold, so the Thursday afternoon never falls through. It is the simplest kind of outing for a small child: a wooden stage, one big picture at a time, a story read aloud, and nothing to pay or book. Kamishibai theatres and the matching picture cards can also be borrowed from the library for home.
