About
Volunteer readers read picture books aloud to children in Spanish in the Philipp-Schaeffer-Bibliothek, and children who speak Spanish at home - or are learning it - can simply listen, look at the pictures and follow the story without having to read a word themselves. Books are discovered together, with the aim of making reading feel like fun rather than practice, and parents are welcome to sit in. It runs on Friday afternoons during school term, from 17:00 to 18:00, for children up to 12, and it is free with no registration - just come along. The library is at Brunnenstraße 181 in Mitte, close to U8 Rosenthaler Platz. The same library also runs story hours in German, English, Portuguese and Russian on other days.
