About
An evening at the observatory for children from age 8: a guide shows how a telescope works and the group goes looking for stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. When the sky is clear they observe the moon and the planets; in bad weather the group meets in the small lecture hall instead. The session lasts 90 minutes and starts at 18:00, and part of it takes place in unheated rooms or outdoors, so warm clothing is needed. Regular tickets are 12 EUR, reduced 8 EUR, and the event is held in German. It runs on Fridays and Saturdays at the Archenhold-Sternwarte in Alt-Treptow and at the Wilhelm-Foerster-Sternwarte in Schoeneberg; the next dates are 30 and 31 October, 6, 7 and 13 November 2026, and further dates follow on the provider's page.
