The Späth'sche Baumschulen, the oldest tree nursery in Germany, in Baumschulenweg, open their historic grounds for their Advent market on the first three Advent weekends: 28/29 November and 5/6 December and 12/13 December 2026, 11:00-20:00 each day. Father Christmas and his angels wander the courtyard, the Monbijou-Theater performs Brothers Grimm tales for children in the Schwarze Scheune, storyteller Ellen Luckas tells tales with music for the very youngest, and families can build gifts from natural materials or take a horse-drawn Kremser ride across the decorated nursery grounds. There is a big Christmas-tree forest where families pick their tree, a nativity scene, bands and choirs on stage, a fire show each evening and a Weihnachtsbäckerei with biscuits and Kinderpunsch. Admission is €8 (reduced €5); children up to 16 are free, and every programme item is included once you are inside. Good for a whole afternoon with a pram, and it is far less crowded than the city-centre markets.
