About
Parent-and-child music courses on Wednesday afternoons at the Zentrum für Bewegung & Kommunikation in Neukölln, led by music teacher Tina Bienert. Musikgarten 1 meets from 15:50 to 16:30 and is for children from about one and a half to three years old; Musikgarten 2 meets from 16:50 to 17:30 and is for children from three years up. In both groups a parent or another familiar adult takes part. The sessions mix singing, movement, dancing, finger and lap games with simple instruments such as claves, bells, rattles, chime bars and drums, and the songs come back week after week so children can recognise them and join in. The year is divided into three blocks to make joining and pausing easier: the current block of eight sessions runs from 2 September to 11 November 2026, and the next block starts after the Christmas holidays in January 2027. A single session, including a trial session, costs €14 (€12 reduced rate, €16 supporting rate); a block of eight sessions costs €96 to €128 depending on the rate chosen. Because places only occasionally become free during a block, new families usually join through the waiting list. The courses are held in German.
