About
An autumn afternoon of making lanterns and wind lights out of what the park gives you, the weekend before St Martin's Day. Adults and families with children from age 6 are invited to shape lanterns and little candle jars with motifs and materials gathered from nature, guided by Ursula Müller and Renate Weidenhammer-Schwittay. It happens at the Karl-Foerster-Pavillon inside the Britzer Garten, the big landscape park in south Neukölln with its lake, model-boat harbour and farm animals, so the visit can be combined with a walk and a stop at the playground. There is no registration and no fixed start: come between 11:00 and 15:00 on Sunday 8 November 2026 and make a lantern. Materials cost €3.50 per lantern, and the park's day ticket is extra (adults €5, reduced €2.50, children up to 5 free). The workshop is held in German.
