About
Platypus Theater is an independent Berlin company that develops and performs English-language and bilingual plays for children and teenagers. Every production is acted in English (or bilingually), so families who speak English at home can enjoy real theatre without a language barrier, and children learning English hear it used on stage. The programme runs through to January 2027 with public performances on selected dates, mostly at the BKA-Theater in Kreuzberg, with some shows in Marzahn. Single tickets cost around 9.50-12.00 EUR, and several dates sell out, so it is worth booking ahead. Pieces span fairy-tale and adventure stories for younger primary children up to issue-led plays for teenagers.
