Family Friendly Programme - Berlin Science Week

For the first time Berlin Science Week runs a programme aimed specifically at children and families, at its Festival Centre in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026. The three-day Festival Centre pass is free. The exhibition stands are open Friday 13:00-18:00, Saturday 10:00-18:00 and Sunday 10:00-19:00: families can try on an exoskeleton, look at Saturn's rings through a telescope, see how a shrimp's shell becomes a piece of clothing and talk to researchers in English or German. Highlights include the DLR space show 'Eine Zeitreise in die Zukunft' on Sunday 8 November (10:00-11:15 and 12:15-13:30), children's author and TV presenter Clarissa Corrêa da Silva reading from 'Mein wunderbares Ich' and running a science quiz for the whole family on Saturday 7 November (10:30-11:30 and 12:30-13:30), and a light-and-colour workshop for children. Workshop places are limited, so reserving them with the free pass in advance is recommended; walk-ins are welcome.
