A weekly Saturday Arabic course for children aged 6 to 9 at the Kalamon Institute for Arabic Language in Neukölln, taught entirely in Modern Standard Arabic by Arabic-speaking teachers. Children learn the letters and their different forms at the beginning, middle and end of words, then build words and read and write simple sentences, with vocabulary, numbers and first arithmetic in Arabic. Groups are small, about five to seven children, and the course costs 65 to 85 euros with a reduced rate available; the school assesses your child's level free of charge before placing them. The exact Saturday start time is not published, so ask for it when you register. There are also groups for 9 to 12 year olds and for teenagers.
