About
Jonathan Dove turned Jules Verne's journey around the world into an opera for children and their grown-ups, and the Deutsche Oper plays it in its big house with a full orchestra, a cast of singers and plenty of theatre magic as Phileas Fogg races from London across continents and back in eighty days. It runs about two hours with one interval, is sung in German and is surtitled in German and English, so families who do not speak German at home can follow the story on the screen above the stage. Recommended from age seven. Tickets are 34 euros, 10 euros reduced.
