About
Gymnastics for children from 1 to 5 at Die Turnhalle, the Berliner Turnerschaft's own gym in Kreuzberg. From about 1 until 3 a parent comes along: child and adult sing, play and move through simple obstacle landscapes together, led by the club's children's gymnastics coach, with finger games, movement songs and everyday materials. From about 3½ the children stay on their own in the Kleinkinderturnen group - the bar becomes a hanging bridge, the boxes a cave - climbing, balancing and trying the apparatus without mum or dad. Two free trial sessions are possible; membership of the club follows, and it is worth bringing your own towel.
