Parent-and-Child Gymnastics

A weekly parent-and-child gymnastics session run by SPORTKINDER BERLIN, a non-profit children's sports club, in a primary school gym in Hellersdorf. Children aged 2 to 6 climb, balance, jump and roll on age-appropriate equipment, mats and small hand apparatus while their parents join in, encourage them and move alongside them. The hour builds coordination, balance and strength, and gives families a shared activity on a Saturday afternoon. The coaches are qualified - among them a sports scientist and a sports physiotherapist. No registration is needed: come along 10 to 15 minutes early in sportswear and gym shoes with a water bottle. The first two sessions are free; after that the club recommends taking out a membership. The group runs all year round.
