About
World premiere at Theater an der Parkaue: Philipp Löhle's new telling of Pinocchio, staged by Alexander Riemenschneider as a musical family production with music by Tobias Vethake, on Bühne 1. The old carpenter Geppetto longs for a child and carves one out of a piece of wood - and it comes to life. Pinocchio wants to know everything immediately: what it means to be a father, what it means to be a child. He sets off for school and is waylaid by a fox and a cat who know where gold grows, and by a colourful play land where everything is allowed, until he ends up at the open sea, while Geppetto waits at home and slowly understands that he has to set out himself to understand his child. Recommended from age 6, school years 1 to 4, and played in German. Tickets €15 for adults, €9 reduced, €7 for children up to 12, Sozialticket €3. Parkaue 29 in Lichtenberg, a few minutes from S-Bahn Frankfurter Allee; the box office opens one hour before the show.
