About

A 40-minute puppet play for the very youngest theatre-goers, told with figures, rain and rustling leaves. The wind tears through the seasons: it pulls hats off heads, blows apples out of the trees and pushes mouse child Jakob through the mouse hole and into a whirl of coloured autumn leaves. He tries his hand at flying a kite, and at the harvest festival the mouse clock already calls the animals to their winter sleep. Susanne Olbrich plays the piece for Theater Fusion as part of its seasons quartet, and the puppetry and gentle pace are made for children from about two years old, who can follow the pictures without needing much language. It is part of the November programme of the Figurentheater Grashüpfer, a small puppet theatre in the old Treptower Park, with several daytime and weekend performances. Tickets are €6 for children and €10 for adults (€6 reduced), booked online or at the box office, which opens 15 minutes before the show. The performance is in German.
