About
Puppet and object theatre for children and families at the Theater der kleinen Form in Friedrichshain, right by Comeniusplatz. The professional company performs its own productions and guests, with pieces for children from age 3 such as Purzel und Drax, Die Mücke und der Bär, Krakenkarussell, Die Zuckerfee and Frau Holle. Each performance lasts about 45 minutes, and the stated age for each piece is worth heeding so the shared theatre visit works for the child. Families are welcome with babies and children under 3, who can stay in the café during the performance. There is free seating, with benches for a family and separate chairs for adults and children; doors open 15 minutes before the start. Performances at weekends are open to everyone, while weekday morning shows are reserved for nursery and school groups. Tickets are €8 per person on weekends and for individual visitors, or €72 for a ten-visit card, payable in cash or by card.
