Children's Capoeira with Forró Alabé

About

Capoeira for children at the Forum Brasil intercultural centre next to the Viktoriapark in Kreuzberg, taught by the Brazilian mestre Joelson Menezes da Silva. Two age groups train twice a week and combine movement, percussion, acrobatics and dance; the children sing the traditional capoeira songs in Portuguese and play the instruments themselves, and every session ends in the 'roda', the circle where everyone comes together. Children aged 3-6 train on Mondays 16:00-17:00 and Tuesdays 16:15-17:15; children aged 6-11 train Mondays 17:15-18:15 and Tuesdays 17:30-18:30. The fee is €35 a month for once a week or €47 for twice a week, and the first lesson is free.
