About
A family workshop that turns a small courtyard theatre into a fairy-tale landscape. 'Der Märchenkoffer', the story suitcase, mixes a short dance performance, a dance workshop, an instrument-making workshop and a kamishibai picture-theatre reading, so children and adults move, play and listen instead of only watching. This session follows tales and myths about the moon and its mysterious inhabitants, its animals and shadows, made tangible through dance, music, pictures and language; the figures Leppinou and Loup Magique and their big old suitcase lead the way. It is built for ages 4 to 100, so siblings and grandparents join the same group, and it lasts 90 minutes. Entry is free, but registration is required and the group is capped at 20 people, so book ahead on 030 44 35 94 97 or at theater@acud.de. Part of the 37th Berliner Märchentage. Veteranenstraße 21 in Mitte, a courtyard theatre off the street. The three November sessions are not at the theatre: they move to the Familienzentrum am Nauener Platz, the Bibliothek am Luisenbad and the Schiller-Bibliothek in Wedding.
