A weekly parent-and-child music course at the Musikschule Fanny Hensel, the municipal music school of Berlin-Mitte, held at its Swinemünder Straße branch in Gesundbrunnen and open to children from about two years old with a parent or carer. The 60-minute afternoon sessions take in singing games, dances, songs and playing simple instruments such as rattles, bells and tone bars, and give parents ideas for bringing music into the family's everyday life. Nine children with one accompanying adult per group, and children can join at any time while places last; the school currently has free places at this branch. The monthly fee follows the school's fee schedule, which is set under the Berlin Senate's rules.
